Sharp has launched a new green TV into its LCD line up. The LC-32DH57E is a 32-inch HD-ready TV with built in Freeview that Sharp says offers "top eco credentials".
With a contrast ratio of 10,000:1 and a response time of 6ms, the TV has a 16:9 screen format and 24p cinematic support.
Sharp claims a low power consumption of 90W and a power standby option of 0.6W. The eco-control button means viewers can directly operate the Energy Save Mode, decreasing power consumption up to 40% while the TV is being watched.
In addition, the TV automatically adapts the screen brightness to the ambient lighting conditions of any room.
Other features include an automatic volume control, two 10 Watt speakers with built in digital amplifier and three HDMI inputs and SCART sockets.
Awarded the European Energy Saving Recommended badge, the LC-32DH57E is on sale for around £500.
