Philips has launched two new DECT phones - the CD645 and CD445 - which feature HD Sound technology.

The new models' docking stations includes a digital answer machine that can records in high quality for up to 15 minutes (CD445) and 30 minutes (CD645), and have a message-counter in the base so you can see if you have messages waiting.

The handsets and the base both boasts hands-free functionality and the CD645 offers a SMS text function allows messages to be entered off-line and sent, when ready, to as many people as desired.

The CD445 has a blue display while the CD645 gets full colour and an icon-based colour menu system.

The internal memory of the CD645 allows for 200 names and numbers to be stored, along with 1 SMS box with the call log storing 50 entries and 50 SMS texts.

The CD445 stores the names and numbers of up to 100 contacts and also features a 50-entry call log.

Both models feature Polyphonic ring tones with the additional VIP function allowing up to three groups of callers to be identified by specific ringtone.

Up to five handsets can be connected to each base station with a paging function ensuring they remain easy to find.

Handset battery life comes in at up to 12 hours talk time and a standby time of up to 150 hours.

The CD645 and CD445 are available now for an approximate street price of £60 and £50 respectively.
