While Wii Sports Resort and EA's Sports Active will be aiming to keep gamers fit this summer, Sega is developing a similar offering for later in the year.

Similar, but with a zany twist, as the "Wacky World of Sports" will offer the world's "wildest, craziest sports tournament with the most outlandish games from around the globe".

These will include tuna tossing, furniture racing, mud sliding, ice golf, card boxing and extreme ironing among 10 "off-the-wall" events.

With single and multi-player options, and complete with mini-games, the title is due to launch in late 2009.
