As with a lot of their product range, Apple is now selling "refurbished" iPhones on their American online store.

If you wanted to save some dollars you could pick up a 4GB version for $399 - a saving of 21%.

Alternatively the slightly-more-flush could go for the 8GB version (and save 17%) to nab one for $499.

Not sure it would be advisable though, what with those limited life batteries and dodgy touch screens...
