Roxio has announced two new programs to increase productivity with DVD and CD burning. RecordNow Deluxe 7 and MyDVD and Slideshow will be available in the UK online at www.roxio.co.uk from mid-February, and from most major retail stores at the beginning of March. RecordNow Deluxe 7 will cost £19.99 while MyDVD and Slideshow will cost £29.99.
The latest version of RecordNow Deluxe features an improved workflow, enhanced burning performance and control, support for burning MPEG4 audio and WM-DRM files (Windows Media Digital Rights Management protected files), and increases its support for emerging technologies. RecordNow Deluxe includes support for the latest LightScribe technology, an integrated system that allows users to produce professional, personalized, laser-etched labels for their discs. New support for Windows Media Player 10 provides greater compatibility when searching for your saved play lists, and the additional support for Double Layer recording means consumers can now store up to 8.5GB of data on a single DVD disc.
MyDVD and Slideshow will allow users to burn their home videos and photo slideshows to DVD and CD.
Features include the ability to add motion-video menus, animated buttons, chapter points, background audio and more to create the look and feel of a real Hollywood movie. The software features optimised Direct-to-DVD recording, which allows users to record their content directly to DVD from a video source connected to the computer's video input. MyDVD and Slideshow is also OpenDVD-compliant, enabling previously burned DVDs to be opened, re-edited, updated with new video and photo content, and re-burned to DVD and CD.
