IWOOT is offering some colourful little critters as new "desktop friends".

The Hexbugs are dinky robots for your desk that, thanks to their sound and object sensors, dodge obstacles and run away from loud noises.

Apparently thanks to a tiny microprocessor that allows the Hexbug to process signals from their antennae, the Hexbugs will react to a handclap or something in their creepy crawly way.

Available in black, amber, blue, green and red, the Hexbugs run on two included AG13/LR44 batteries and measure 6 x 5 x 3.5cm.

They are on sale now over on IWOOT for £9.99 each.
