The Tangent Quattro WiFi Alarm Radio is described as an idiot-proof bedside alarm clock that gives you access, via your wireless network, to the 6000 internet radio stations from around the world.

As well as letting you wake up to sounds from around the globe, the plug and play Quattro can wirelessly stream the audio files from your computer, and it will even queue playlists.

In addition you can plug in your MP3 player and use the radio as a stand-alone speaker, with its 5 watts output and 3-inch driver.

Its boasts 802.111b/g WEP or WPA1 encrypted connectivity, can play Real Audio, MP3, Windows Medai Streams, OGG Vorbis, AAC, WAV, AIFF or AU files and - true to its alarm clock roots - has a snooze button.

The Tangent Quattro WiFi Alarm Radio is available in four colours white, black, a rather snazzy red and that deeply retro, deeply chic walnut. £179.95, link below.
