Yamaha launches three YSP Digital Sounds Projectors
Surround sound abounds
16 August 2007 18:44 GMT / By Amy-Mae Elliott
Describing themselves as "the founders of Surround Sound", Yamaha Electronics has announced three new models of the YSP Digital Sound Projector.
The one-box YSP range now includes the YSP-500 (£499), YSP-30D (£799) and the YSP-40D (£1199).
The range is said to boast true multi-channel surround sound tailored to a room’s acoustics, amazing sound quality and simple setup and style.
Yamaha states they are the only true 5.1 one-box surround sound systems on the market and use Yamaha's exclusive sound reflecting technology (Intellibeam Automated System Calibration) which automatically calibrates the sound to your room's layout.
Different modes can offer different sound effects - My Surround mode provides surround sound without the need to reflect the sound beams off every wall – perfect for open plan spaces.
The My Beam mode focuses the sound at a specific listening position, on your sofa for example, so you get quality sound even in noisy surroundings.
In the YSP-30D and YSP-40D models, new features include DAB Tuner and iPod compatibility so you can now share and enjoy
digital radio stations or your iTunes library in true surround sound.
All models are available in silver or black finishes with optional wall mount bracket. The YSP range is available to buy from Yamaha authorised dealers, link to the website for more info below.
