Google Blogger deletes Facebook Secrets code-sharing blog

Took 'em long enough

Google has seen fit to remove the copyright-infringing Facebook Secrets blog from its Blogger service.

After issuing two DCMA takedown notices which were not responded to, the has company pulled the blog.

Facebook Secrets was set up earlier this week for the express purpose of sharing Facebook's homepage source code, which was leaked over the weekend.

It appears the leak, from the closed-source social networking site, was due to an internal technical error, and not as a result of hacking.

Although Facebook insisted that the leaked code did not constitute a security issue, they have been obviously keen to get the information removed.

A new blog, "Facebook Secrets Again", has immediately sprung up, but instead of showing the code, this displays the DCMA notices relating to the previous blog.
