The Thuraya SG-2520 satellite phone is described as a breakthrough in satellite communication technology.

As the world's lightest dual-mode satellite mobile phone this handset weighs 170g.

For true globe trotters, this sat phone will give you coverage in 110 countries across Europe, North, Central Africa and large parts of Southern Africa, the Middle East, Central and South Asia.

Using cutting edge satellite technology, Thuraya SG-2520 is an advanced "smart phone" with 3-in-1 integrated technologies (satellite, GSM Tri-band and GPS).

Users within Thuraya's coverage area can call to, and receive a call from anywhere in the world.

Once outside the satellite coverage area, the phone can be used within a GSM compatible network.

The satellite service option in Thuraya SG-2520 allows you to roam across nearly one third of the globe, in both urban areas and remote locations giving you service beyond land-based telecommunication systems.

The Thuraya SmartPhone is the only satellite tri-band phone on the market that provides connectivity on GSM mode in all five continents.
