Harman Kardon claims to have set a "new standard" in home entertainment with the launch of its most powerful integrated amplifier to-date, the HK990 and its "next generation" CD player, the HD990.
The HD990 CD player is said to be "optimised for precision playback", with a built-in digital processor to eliminate distortion and "Real Time Linear Smoothing" that claims to help cancel out CD jittering.
The HK990 offers EzSet/EQ room optimisation - a new feature which HK says produces "extraordinary realism, while vastly simplifying installation".
"Whether it's for the discerning music enthusiast or casual listener, the feature-rich HK990 and HD990 offer digital excellence at a great value price", says Mark Hockey, marketing manager at Harman Consumer.
"Complementing their best-in-class listening performance and ease of use, both products have an elegant, minimalist design, which work well as either a feature of the living-room, or something a little more subtle".
The "great value price" for the HK990 and HD990 is £1000 and £500 respectively.
