Eidos confirms Tomb Raider DLC delayed

A spokesperson from Eidos has announced that the first downloadable episode for Tomb Raider: Underworld has been delayed due to a "technical issue".

Beneath the Ashes was originally due for an Xbox-exclusive release on 10 February, however it is now not known when gamers can expect to see it.

The spokesperson said: "An unexpected technical issue means that Beneath the Ashes will not be available to download on 10 February as planned".

"We apologize for this delay and we are doing everything we can to bring you this exciting new content for Tomb Raider: Underworld as soon as possible".

The second episode, Lara's Shadow, is apparently still on for its scheduled 10 March release date, so we'd hope that "as soon as possible" means before then.

We still don't know the plot behind Lara's Shadow, but we do know that Beneath the Ashes will see Lara back in the ruins of Croft Manor where she uncovers a massive series of never-before-seen caverns and age old crypts to sink her teeth in to.

The game, whenever it is released, is set to cost 800 Microsoft Points. We'll keep you updated with any news we get from Eidos.
