DICE has confirmed the news from John Riccitiello yesterday that Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is in development.
The sequel to last year’s blockbuster title is set to be released in the winter, and will again see the Bad Company crew battling it out in the heart of the action through snowy mountaintops, dense jungles and dusty villages.
You'll have a heavy arsenal of weapons and all manner of vehicles to aid you in your mission in destroying quite literally everything in your path, as you battle to defeat your enemies either online or offline.
"Bad Company 2 takes everything that players liked in the original and ups the ante – more vehicles, more destruction and more team play", commented Karl Magnus Troedsson, executive producer Battlefield franchise, DICE.
Battlefield: Bad Company 2 will be available for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC sometime towards the end of the year.
If you can't wait that long, a new multiplayer game for the franchise is coming to PSN, Xbox Live and PC in the summer.
Battlefield 1943 will take players back to WWII and offer up to 24 player multiplayer action over three classic locations. No prices have been confirmed as yet - we'll get them to you when we have them.
