BT has launched the "Granite" home phone, said to have been "created with fans of minimal and monochrome design in mind, who refuse to comprise on sleek design for all of their home technology".

The handset lies flat in a "sculpted" square base, has a matt black finish with a chrome trim, and the handset has a white on black screen.

Feature-wise, there's a 100 name and number directory, the ability to send and receive text messages and a digital answering machine.

GAP compatible, the phone offers 15 ringtones, a 50 metre indoor range, up to 10 hours talktime and 100 hours on standby.

The BT Granite is available now in single and twin packs with a single pack priced at £78.29.
