9-year-old writes iPhone app

A 9-year-old from Singapore has written an application for the iPhone and iPod touch.

Lim Ding Wen's painting program called "Doodle Kids", has been downloaded over 4000 times from the App Store in 2 weeks.

"Doodle Kids", that was apparently written for Lim's little sisters, lets iPhone users draw with their fingers by touching the iPhone's touchscreen and then clear the screen by shaking the phone.

Lim is fluent in six programming languages, and is already working on a new iPhone app, a game called "Invader Wars".

Last year an 8-year-old girl from India became the youngest Microsoft Certified Professional.
