iZ3D to preview new 3D gaming monitors at CES 2009

Designer of advanced 3D visualisation systems iZ3D LLC, has announced it will be featuring a hands on demonstration of three of its upcoming product prototypes for 2009 at CES in January.

The new prototypes include the new iZ3D Immersion Series that gives users a total 3D effect. It is a Triple iZ3D monitor setup with a flight or racing game simulator.

There is also the 26 inch iZ3D Prototype, and the 22 inch Widescreen Console Game Compatible Prototype for CES attendees to get a first hand look at.

While the regular 22-inch widescreen monitor is priced at $399, this model is also available in six special edition custom-painted models created at the request of customers that wanted their 3D monitors to stand out at LAN parties. These will be priced at $549.

All monitors feature 1680 x 1050 resolution, up to 170-degree 3D viewing angle, 5ms response time and 700:1 contrast ratio.

They also have an optimised driver that unlocks the 3D capability of most PC games released in the last five years. Of course you can use them in regular 2D mode as well, with just the flick of a switch.

Thome Striegler, CEO of iZ3D LLC, said: "Introducing three cutting-edge 3D prototypes at CES is once again proving iZ3D is the defacto industry leader in 3D solutions".
