Alcatel has launched the OT-E201, a no-nonsense GSM handset costing just £14.99.

Packaged in Alcatel's new "extra small packaging" the OT-E201 is available on Orange and is for sale in Woolies.

Coming with polyphonic ring tones, a "leather look" finish, two games, a 65k colour screen and a handsfree kit this surely redefines budget mobile phones.

Weighing 69 grams and measuring 98 x 42.5 x 18.5mm it's not too brick-like either.

It offers up to five hours talk time, calculator, date and clock, an alarm clock with multiple ring tones, a 255 entry address book, JPEG and GIF support and predictive text.
