Microsoft is hoping its success with managing money will entice you to invest in its latest version of Microsoft Money 17 years after it first launched.

Called Microsoft Money Plus, the latest release of the Money application promises new tools that enable consumers to manage all their finances and help you stay out of debt according to Microsoft.

Consumers can personalise something Microsoft is calling "Insights" that alert them when they are close to preset spending limits or when bills are coming due and can also quickly and easily check accounts to see balances and cash flow.

Other features include getting the top 10 daily updates from MSN Money StockScouter, keep account information up to date with enhanced background banking and have access to a bunch of financial services to help manage important financial concerns.

Services include helping prevent identity theft, prepare taxes, teach kids about handling money, track investment income and much more.

Microsoft Money Plus Deluxe is available at an estimated price of $49.99 with the Plus version of the software set at $79.99.

No UK pricing as been announced as yet.
