Mattel's Mindflex game uses the power of the mind

Never underestimate the power of the mind - Mattel has produced a game that will enable you to move an object, just by thinking about it.

Set for release towards the end of the year, Mindflex is a mental acuity game that works with phonons produced by your brain. The game involves you moving a small foam ball off the ground and through a customisable obstacle course, without even touching it.

How does it work? A lightweight headset containing sensors for the forehead and earlobes measures your brainwave activity, and when you focus your concentration, the ball will rise on a gentle stream of air. Keep concentrating though - relaxing your thoughts will cause the ball to descend.

To keep your brain guessing, you'll be able to move the various obstacles into a number of different configurations, to test and challenge your mind power. Has anyone else got a headache just thinking about it?

Mindflex will hit the shelves for $79.99, with UK pricing to be announced.
