Apple ad reveals iPhone apps hit 300 million milestone
It's been revealed that the App Store has reached the rather impressive 300 million downloads milestone.
The statistic was unveiled in an Apple advert that ran in the New York Times and the Wall St. Journal last week.
The ad - about solving life's dilemmas "one iPhone app at a time" - featured small print stating that applications from the App Store had been downloaded over 300 million times for iPhone and iPod touch owners.
In addition, it stated that there are now over 10,000 apps available for download.
The App Store only went live 21 weeks ago, so this averages out at over 2 million downloads a day since launch.
