CyberLink has now updated its HD video editing software package, CyberLink PowerDirector 7, for Intel’s latest quad-core Core i7 ‘Nehalem’ microprocessor.

The developer claims that this delivers a 112% performance gain in overall HD video editing performance, from previewing, rendering to burning to a DVD or Blu-ray Disc.

“Video editing showcases the performance of the Intel Core i7 processor”, said Elliot Garbus from Intel.

“Working with vendors like CyberLink, we’re able to unleash the performance of the processor for customers to benefit from higher performance and more efficient and smoother HD video editing experiences”.
