Life would certainly be more interesting (and noisier) if you could sit down on any park bench, and then have your music from your phone, or any Bluetooth-enabled device, boomed out from the bench.

This is the concept behind the Boom Bench designed by German Michael Schoner of NL Architects.

Using Bluetooth tech, an ordinary piece of street furniture (albeit with rather large built-in speakers) becomes a sound system. The bench packs in 60 watt co-axial speakers and two subwoofers.

Can you imaging how amazing it would be for street parties?
