Kodak rehauls EasyShare software

Kodak has released an updated version of its EasyShare image sharing package.

The key enhancements are an array of new editing tools including a Facial Retouch tool to remove blemishes and wrinkles.

The EasyShare software is now also being bundled with ArcSoft Print Creations, which allows snappers to create greeting cards, calendars, photo books and scrapbooks with their pics.

Users get full access to two ArcSoft Print Creations modules, and after a free 15-day trial, receive discounted offers to purchase full access to the others.

Other features of version 7.1 include making it easier to upload videos from EasyShare to YouTube with one click. Users can set the software to remember their YouTube account information.

New editing tools including text to pictures, and Kodak says it has also made it easier for photographers to transfer content from their EasyShare gallery to a digital picture frame or portable memory devices such as USB drives and SD memory cards.

EasyShare version 7.1 is available via a free download from the EasyShare website.
