Microsoft: No UK price cut for Xbox 360

Stop getting your hopes up, you live in "rip-off Britain"

Microsoft has told Next-Gen (link below) that it has no plans to slash the price of the Xbox 360 console in the UK.

This news will come as a blow to Blighty-based gamers who recently had to endure a similar snub from Sony over the US-only price cuts for the PS3.

Speculation about a US price reduction has increased lately with images of promo material from top American retailers showing $50 price cuts for the Xbox 360 in the States.

"We're very happy with where were at the moment and have no plans to make any changes at this time", was the exact official line from Microsoft to Next-Gen.

Next-Gen speculates that it looks likely that the US price cut will go ahead - Microsoft (despite the 360 being cheaper) - has got to keep up with Sony's precedent but no such luck for the neglected UK.
