In the States, T-Mobile has stopped sales of the Nokia 5610 XpressMusic handset, recalling the entire nationwide inventory, as well as all sales and promotional material.
The recall, confirmed by a T-Mobile spokesperson, is down to a fault with some models of the handset that suffer from a problem affecting the phone's display.
Apparently, the current "crop" of 5610s do not suffer from this problem, but T-Mobile's supply were manufactured prior to the fix.
T-Mobile is offering credit, and a Nokia 6301 or 5310 as a replacement device.
A Nokia spokesperson has told Pocket-lint that this should not affect UK users: "T-Mobile has withdrawn the Nokia 5610 XpressMusic device in the US only. This won't impact the UK as they don't range the device".
