MySpace could launch MP3 player
MySpace might launch an iPod rival, the company's co-founder has revealed.
The site launched MySpace Music in September, and offers music downloads for its many millions of members, powered by Amazon MP3.
The social networking site could develop a digital music player in the future, MySpace co-founder and chief executive Chris DeWolfe said at a conference in San Francisco.
"It's possible" that MySpace could eventually build a device for listening to music, DeWolfe said in response to a question.
But, there are no immediate plans to make or sell such a device: "Right now, we're just focusing on the service", DeWolfe said.
