Apple has released the first update for the iPhone.

The v1.0.1 update, available through iTunes, does not appear to have added any new features to the phone.

Instead, it addresses the security issues with Safari that potentially left iPhone users vulnerable on malicious websites.

This is interesting news for Euros-types as it means that while everyone on this side of the Atlantic pond waits for the iPhone, we'll ultimately get a less flawed version when it does arrive.
