Parallel Processing, a California based company, is taking Sony to court over the cell chip in the PS3.The petition, filed in Eastern District of Texas, is seeking not only damages but the destruction of Sony products which involve the patent.
The complaint all comes down to an alleged infringement of a patent for "synchronised parallel processing with shared memory".
The patent is attributed to International Parallel Machines of New Bedford, Massachusetts, while Parallel Processing Corporation is the self described "exclusive licensee".
Of course Parallel are claiming "causing irreparable harm and monetary damage".
