Dell and Universal Music team up on MP3 bundles

In the States, Dell and Universal Music Group have teamed to provide pre-loaded song bundles of different genres of music.

Described as "a simple, economical way to jump-start a digital music library" individuals will be able to select a variety of optional music bundles to be pre-installed on their new PC.

Dell and Universal have created 50 and 100-song music bundles starting at $25, each of which includes a "curated selection" of DRM-free MP3s - apprently for around half of current standard per track pricing.

The pre-installed bundles are immediately accessible once the just-purchased PC is turned on, organised under the "Music" icons on the Dell Dock.

Dell has revealed to Pocket-lint that there are no immediate plans to offer the service in the UK, saying: "At this time, it’s US only.”
