O2 has revamped its mobile internet experience for customers with the latest handsets.
The operator says the improved O2 homepage follows customer demand for higher quality access online and has an in-built toolbar that's said to make it easier for customers to get to their favourite sites faster and easier than ever before.
Browsing websites online or searching for new sites is claimed to be more simple and customers can also now personalise their homepage by choosing from a range of content and services.
"We've learned a lot from our iPhone customers. Customers expect the mobile internet to be more like the internet experience at home or the office and that is our objective", said Alistair Johnston, marketing director, Telefonica O2 UK.
The enhanced service will launch automatically on 15 handsets with more handset compatibility coming over the next few weeks.
Compatible handsets are the Nokia N81, N82, N95, N95 8GB, N78, 6220, E51 and Nokia E90 as well as the Sony Ericsson K850i, W910i, W980i, C902 and the Motorola MOTO Z8 and Z10.
