Samsung shows off sleek smartphone - the i7110
The latest Samsung model based on the S60 interface is soon to arrive on UK shores.
The i7110 is a 12.9-millimetres thick candybar phone boasting HSDPA and Wi-Fi connectivity as well as Bluetooth.
Online reports suggest that it is based on Symbian OS v9.3 and S60 3rd Edition, Feature Pack 2, which means access to the S60 applications library for users.
Features wise - you get a 2.6-inch AMOLED display, FM radio/transmitter, and GPS navigation (with geotagging functionality) which you can use in both vehicle and pedestrian mode.
There's also an accelerometer and 3D graphics if you're a gamer.
On the media side of things - you get a 5-megapixel camera (with Auto Focus and a LED flash), video recording, multimedia player with DivX support, 50MB of internal memory, and a microSDHC slot.
Samsung adds that the phone will deliver 11 hours of talk time.
Rumours has it that the Samsung i7110 is being showcased at the Symbian Smartphone Show in London, 21-22 October, so as soon as we get our mitts on it, we'll post some pics.
