SIM2’s new "entry-level" model, the Domino 10, brings the home theatre projector manufactuer's products to a whole new audience. Although a fair old pile of money, compared to SIM2's usual offerings the D10 is a snip at £1600.The Domino 10 boasts Texas Instruments’ latest 0.65-inch DLP chipset and has a pixel resolution of 1280 x 768.
Delivering 720p pictures the D10 has Brilliant Colour Image which claims superbly sharp, and brilliantly colourful pictures, a contrast ratio of 2000:1, as well as 10 Bit video processing.
The D10 has a shortthrow lens (so projects a large picture from a short distance) meaning this new SIM2 offering should work in your ordinary-sized lounge, rather than requiring a home cinema room of epic proportions.
