Google launches $10 million Project 10 to the 100th
As part of its tenth birthday celebration, Google has announced Project 10^100 (pronounced Project 10 to the 100th), a call for ideas to change the world by helping as many people as possible.
The search giant is offering $10 million to turn the best five ideas about ways to improve people's live it receives, into reality.
The company says: "These ideas can be big or small, technology-driven or brilliantly simple – but they need to have impact".
The best 100 will be narrowed down to 20 by a vote from the public, which will then be pared down to five by a panel of judges.
Google states: "Google is turning ten years old. What better way to celebrate than by empowering people to help others? May those who help the most win!"
