Console show down heading to E3

Microsoft has confirmed that it will be not be unveiling its Xbox 2 console at the Games Developers Conference next month.

It is thought that the company will now wait until May and the gaming conference E3 to show off the new model in time for a Christmas launch. Also expected at the show will be Sony with a working version of its new console, the PlayStation 3.

If that wasn't enough, Nintendo's is also expected to announce details of its next generation console - the Revolution.

It seems the old saying “you wait for a bus for ages and then three come along at once” really might just be true for console gamers

We will keep you posted.
