Western Digital launches 2 terabyte models into MyBook range

Western Digital has announced that all models of its My Book dual-drive storage appliances are now available in capacities up to 2 terabytes.

Offering remote access and sharing anywhere in the world or just simple add-on storage, backup and mirroring, the My Book dual-drive storage systems claim to meet a variety of needs generated by today’s increasing volume of digital content.

"The explosive growth in devices that create rich multimedia content – from digital cameras to music players to digital video camcorders – continues to drive consumers’ insatiable demand for more storage capacity."

"The popular My Book family of external drives delivers peace of mind in a simple solution that can provide remote access, sharing, protection and storing of precious files", said Jim Welsh, a WD big cheese.

The new 2TB capacity is now available on WD’s My Book World Edition II, My Book Pro Edition II, My Book Premium Edition II models.
