Manchester-based Craghoppers are the latest company to get involved in some iPod-loving wearable tech clothing.
Unlike, M&S's recent iPod-happy suit for city slickers, this most recent offering is a must-have for outdoor enthusiasts - the UK’s first iPod-enabled walking jacket.
The £250 Future jacket, due to go on sale this summer, will give wearers the chance to be truly wired for sound while out walking.
The fully-waterproof jacket has a dedicated inside pocket for secure docking of the music player and and built-in headphone buds.
Controls are located on the sleeve, using ElekTex smart fabric controls from UK based company, Eleksen.
The jacket’s spec also includes fused seams, body comfort zones, full-face rollaway hood and storm flaps and the flexible, durable nature of ElekTex makes it fully washable too.
"We are confident that the Future jacket will be a big hit with the 38 million people in Britain who like to get out for a regular walk", a Craghopper honcho stated.
