Those cheeky wags over at PC Mag have created an "iPhone Death Widget", that, if you enter the time and date of your iPhone's activation, will cheerily count down to when you can expect the battery to die.

Using highly scientific calculations, they reckon you'll get about 675 days of iPhone goodness before you'll need to start thinking about sending your phone back for a new power pack.

On a slightly less sensational note, the batteries won't actually go kaput at the count. Based on Apple's estimate of 400 charges, after this they will still work, but only on around 80% capacity.
