LaCie launches 2TB Big Disk Extreme+ hard drive

Two terabyte plug and play offering

LaCie has launched a new range of Big Disk Extreme+ hard drives, the top-of-the-range model of which offers a huge 2TB capacity.

Equipped with FireWire 800, FireWire 400 and USB2 interfaces the devices will work with both PCs and Macs.

The front blue button can be used as a one-press short cut key to back up files or launch any application.

Offering a stylish housing made of sturdy aluminum alloy and thermo-regulated fan means that sticking this in your home office won't make you feel like you're sat in the server room at work.

Advanced features for professionals include Triple Power Management, a 32MB cache and EMC Retrospect advanced backup and data restoration software for Windows and Mac users.

Also in the range is a more modest 1TB version for £269, a 1.5TB version for £389. The 2TB model is £669, available to pre-order now, link below.
