Solar power plant pot launches

Taking photosynthesis to the next level, as its name suggests, this 28cm tall designer pot soaks up the sun's rays in order to charge an internal battery that powers built-in LEDs.

As night falls the entire pot begins to glow, adding an "enchanting" touch of light to your garden.

There are two pots on offers - one that glows constant white or one that phases through a kaleidoscope of colours.

The pot's solar cell is on a separate spike that connects to the pot via a 3-metre cable. Simply stick it in the ground and hide the cable. The whole thing is splashproof, although will not like frosts much.

The length of time the pot glows is dependent on the amount of sunlight the solar panel is exposed to during the day, but the claim is you're looking at about 6-8 hours in the summer and 2-4 hours in the winter.

Just white is £19.95 while the colour changing option will cost you £22.95.
