Skiers and snowboarders can suffer from snow blindness as a result of bright sunlight reflecting off white snow.

A techie solution is about to be launched - Uvex's new Uvision line of goggles.

The goggles use LCD technology and a double lens that means you can switch between high or low contrast settings at the push of a button.

They provide 200 hours of switching from a single AAA battery and are due to be launched in September, for $230.

Good news for snow-bunnies - except now you can't blame the bright light for messing up that inverted misty flip ollie backside off the half pipe.
