Samsung has launched a new range of MiniDVD and DVD camcorders today in the UK. The new models are the MiniDV Samsung VP-D37x series and DVD camcorders the Samsung VP-DC17x series and Samsung VP-DC575WB.Samsung say the new models boast a series of features that will make the cameras easy to use. The Samsung MiniDV VP-D37x series consisting of the Samsung VP-D371W, Samsung VP-D372WH and the Samsung VP-D375W all boast 800k pixel CCD’s. a 2.7-inch, 112k pixel widescreen LCD and something Samsung is calling VOICE Plus technology, a feature that allows users to narrate over pre-recorded footage via the camcorders microphone.
The Samsung VP-D375W also includes extra features including a SD/MMC slot, and a USB2 port allowing the transfer of files.
This Samsung MiniDV range also comes in a variety of colours, including the Samsung VP-D371W and Samsung VP-D375W in dark silver and the Samsung VP-D372WH in white.
The Samsung DVD camcorder range which includes the Samsung VP-DC17x series (Samsung VP-DC171W, VP-DC173 and the VP-DC175WB) and the Samsung VP-DC575WB.
Compatible with a range of recordable DVD formats (DVD-RW/ -R/+RW/+R) users can simply insert a compatible disk to get started.Like the VP-D375W both the VP-DC175WB and the VP-DC575WB also include the SD/MMC slot and USB2.
Within the Samsung DVD camcorder range the optical zoom feature starts from 26x (VP-DC575WB) optical zoom to a powerful 34x (VP-DC171W, VP-DC 175WB, VP-DC173) optical zoom.
As with the Samsung MiniDV range the Samsung VP-DC17x series also has an 800K pixel CCD, whilst the Samsung VP-DC575W features a 1Megapixel CCD. The models use a 2.5-inch 4:3 display (VP-DC173) or 2.7-inch widescreen display (VP- DC575WB, VP-DC 175WB and VP-DC171W).
The DVD Camcorder range also comes in a variety of colours, with both the VP-DC171W and the VP-DC173 in dark silver, and the VP-DC175WB and VP-DC575WB in piano black.
The MiniDV camcorders are from £180 to £250 and the DVD camcorders are from £280 to £350. Cameras, Video And Editing, Camcorders, Samsung, DVD
