Samsung Electronics is entering the DVB-T DVD Recorder market with a brand new model line-up.

The new range encompasses an HDD range, a combo model and a single tray model.

The range comes in that now-familiar Samsung glossy piano black finish and unlike the range of analogue DVD players also launched today, includes a built-in digital tuner for a wider choice of channels.

The DVD-SH855M is the flagship model in the new digital range of HDD DVD recorders with a 250GB hard drive memory and multi-format capabilities.

This range boasts the EZ REC Mode, an in-house Samsung feature, designed to make recording simple.

At the push of a button, the EZ REC Mode enables the DVD recorder to not only record a programme but also format, initialise and finalise a DVD.

The DVD-SH855M also boasts Samsung's networking Anynet+ technology which connects home entertainment devices to be controlled with one remote via HDMI.

The HDD DVD-SH855M has the addition of a USB2 port, meaning you can download files directly onto its hard drive.

The DVD-SH853M is also in this range, but has no USB port, a smaller 160GB hard drive and less file format capabilities.

Sharing features with the HDD DVD range, the Samsung DVD-VR350M combo recorder lets you record old videos onto DVDs is multi-format capable (RAM/-RW/-R) and has the EZ REC Mode feature.

Samsung's single tray recorders boast a space-saving design, the DVD-SR150M is the leading model in this series and boasts multi-format compatibility (RAM/-RW/-R) and EZ REC Mode.

Product manager at Samsung, Stephen Mitchell says, "Our brand new digital DVD recorders offer the ultimate DVD experience".

"We have added exclusive features to enable this and the in-built digital tuner further enhances their desirability."
