Australian scientists have created a control system for televisions that recognises gestures you make with your hands.

As you can see from the image, certain functions can be carried out by making certain hand gestures.

It is not clear if you will be able to program these commands yourself, for example, whether a slightly open fist moved upwards and downwards will change the channel to anything starring Robert Kilroy-Silk...
