PlayStation 3 sales on Amazon.com have seen a massive 2500% increase since yesterday's official $100 price cut.

The console now tops the Mover and Shakers list on the American e-tailer's site.

It is yet to be seen if this figures are repeated throughout the US games industry - Sony will certainly hoping for a revival in their flagging console's sales stats.

An announcement about the PS3's pricing in Europe is expected on Thursday.
