Sony says it's the toughest, most technically advanced Cyber-shot W Series camera yet. The slim W300 features a scratch resistant titanium coating that's around five times tougher than anodised aluminium.
The W300 offers 13.6 effective megapixels, a Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens with 3x optical zoom and ISO up to 6400 all powered by Sony's BIONZ image processor.
Other Sony tech includes Sony's original Clear RAW Noise Reduction and Super SteadyShot image stabilisation, Improved Face Detection technology, Sony's Smile Shutter, D-Range Optimiser, Intelligent Scene Recognition and EX High-Speed Burst Mode allows high-speed shooting at up to five frames per second.
There’s a range of image management functions and a choice of in-camera retouching functions that can be operated on the 2.7-inch Clear Photo LCD.
The new Cyber-shot W300 will be available throughout Europe from early-May, no pricing revealed.
