LINDY Electronics has announced the launch of its 2 Port FireWire ExpressCard that provides users with a simple and effective way to add two FireWire ports to notebooks equipped with the latest ExpressCard slots.

The LINDY FireWire ExpressCard supports data transfer speeds of up to 400Mbps making it ideal for connecting FireWire peripheral devices such as DV camcorders, scanners or external drives.

The Card is a 34mm type and is compatible with both PCs and Macs.

"FireWire is a great for connecting your high speed devices, but you are lucky if your computer was supplied with even a single port", says Andrew Ingram, product manager of LINDY Electronics.

"With the LINDY FireWire ExpressCard adding FireWire ports to your notebook is a breeze."

The LINDY 2 Port FireWire ExpressCard/34, part no 51500 is available now, RRP £44.99.
