CES 2008: Jabra BT3030 wireless headset launched

Danish manufacturer GN has unveiled a new look, wireless headset.

The Jabra BT3030 offers up to 8 hours of talk time; up to 7 hours of music playing and is charged using a mini USB.

The new headset is compatible with other Bluetooth devices with Bluetooth 1.1 or higher specifications, and has an operating range of up to 10m.

It is a Bluetooth stereo headset, which is controlled from a "dog-tag" style remote control.

This is built around "intuitive" LEDs which show the status of the headset including the battery level.

If you are listening to music on your phone, the device will automatically pause your music when a call comes in.

It can also be used with MP3 players.

The controls allow users to change tracks, pause/play songs, change the volume and take calls directly from the headset, together with an in-built microphone.

Users can wear the controller around their neck on the metal chain included, or adapt the look with their own choice of lanyard.

They can also clip the headset directly to their jacket, belt or a bag.

The headset is priced £39.99, and is available immediately from T-Mobile stores around the UK among other retailers from February.
