HP has launched nine budget cameras into its Photosmart range.

Ranging from just under $79 to up to $300 the nine new digi-cams are due in American stores over the summer.

Overall, the models are fairly standard, but one does stand out - the eight-megapixel HP Photosmart R937 has an impressive 3.6-inch auto-bright touchscreen display for editing and organising photos directly on the camera.

Included within the touchscreen is a Microsoft Windows Vista-compatible tagging feature and a virtual keyboard, making photo organisation and management quick and easy once the camera is connected to a PC.

The R937 also features the latest generation of HP Design Gallery, which includes the "popular slimming feature that can take up to ten pounds off photographed subjects" as well as HP's pet-eye fix to correct glowing eyes on demon pets and HP touch-up technology for removal of blemishes.
