Indie label V2 has signed a deal with download service, We7.We7 is Peter Gabriel's advertising funded free music download site which is in beta stage at the moment.
The V2 agreement will see the label's full back catalogue available free, legally and safely and DRM-free on we7.com.
V2's stable of artists includes Bloc Party, Stereophonics and up-and-coming band Cold War Kids.
We first brought We7 to your attention earlier this month - it is the first free and legal service of its kind Europe.
The service works by "grafting" short ads (about 10 seconds-worth) onto the start of music tracks which provides the moolah that means the music is free.
Free music lovers should check it out - the ads don't remain attached to the tracks forever - after 4 weeks you can re-download the track ad free.
