21 June 2007 11:11 GMT / By Chris Hall

Designed for backpackers and travellers, the Grilliput is less than half as wide as the inside of a kitchen roll at 2.2cm and 29cm long yet expands to offer a grilling area of 23 x 26cm. Resilient, the stainless steel “wand” weighs just 560 grams.

Quick to assemble and easy to clean – it comes with a handy cleaning groove that scrapes dried on food off the bars – the Grilliput can be given a thorough dishwashing on your return home. This nifty gadget can be mounted on a rock over coals or can be accessorised with a stainless steel Fire Dish.

The Grilliput can be your for £25.00; the Fire Dish for £10.50 at good outdoors retailers.
